E-invoicing in the UAE
The UAE is moving to mandatory e-invoicing for business-to-business and business-to-government transactions. We get you ready well before your go-live date.
Who this is for
- VAT-registered businesses in either phase
- Finance teams invoicing from spreadsheets or basic software
- Groups running several entities or systems
- Businesses with high invoice volumes or complex pricing
What we handle
- Readiness assessment of invoicing, data and systems
- Gap analysis against the UAE e-invoice data requirements
- Shortlisting and appointing an Accredited Service Provider
- Coordination with your ERP or accounting software provider
- Master data clean-up: TRNs, customer records, tax codes
- Testing and go-live support
- Updated invoicing procedures and controls
- Post go-live review
What changes for your business
For in-scope transactions, a PDF or paper invoice will no longer count as a valid tax invoice. Invoices must be issued in a structured electronic format through an Accredited Service Provider, which validates them and passes the data to the FTA. Your invoicing process, your software and your customer data all need to support that.
Why start now
Appointing a provider, connecting your software and cleaning your data takes months, and every business in the second phase will be doing it at the same time. Starting early means you choose your provider instead of taking whoever has capacity.
We are not an Accredited Service Provider and do not sell e-invoicing software. We work on your side: assessing readiness, helping you choose a provider and checking the setup actually works.
Questions we hear often
Does e-invoicing apply to small businesses?
Yes. Businesses with revenue below AED 50 million come into scope from 1 July 2027. Size changes your deadline, not whether you are in scope.
Are any transactions excluded?
Some are, including certain sovereign government activities, international passenger air transport and some exempt or zero-rated financial services. Other transactions have temporary exemptions. We check your transactions against the list.
